Sedation Method at Spring Hills
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
This mild sedative is delivered through a mask placed over the patient’s nose. It helps to relax the patient during the procedure and wears off quickly. The patient will be able to drive home afterward.
Oral Sedation
The process is straightforward. Prior to your appointment, you will take a pill, and someone will accompany you to the office for the treatment. Our skilled office team will attend to every aspect to ensure comfort and relaxation. You’ll be in a “sleep” state throughout your dental appointment.
During the procedure, you won’t feel any discomfort. You’ll have little or no recollection of the appointment when you wake up. You’ll be able to resume your regular activities in a very short period of time. The patient must designate their ride situation before the appointment.
General Anesthesia
This is the deepest level of sedation, where the patient is completely unconscious throughout the procedure. An anesthesiologist will assess you prior to the appointment, review any necessary preparation, and answer any questions you might have regarding the sedation.
On the day of your appointment, the anesthesiologist will administer the anesthetics and monitor your well-being for the duration of your visit. The patient must designate their ride situation before the appointment.
